Text from Science Fair project on Mammals
One of Remy's science experiments was building a model of the solar system. As we didn't have the craft materials on hand (although we could have purchased them) and since his dad had been teaching Remy JavaScript programming for web pages and he were on the part about images and how to control their size and position, it just seemed like it would be better to build the model in the computer.
So Dad and Remy wrote a web page / program to move and resize some pictures of the sun and planets that he found on the Internet. He couldn't have written it without Dads guidance, but he does understand each line of the program, what it does, and he can make simple changes by himself. For example: He added the "mouse over" titles to the planets showing their percentage size relative to earth. That was not Dads idea; Dad came back from taking a shower, and he had done it.
