On my opinion we have to read less spamming and "get rich quick"
type messages if we keep this type of protected mailing list.

So the vote is no for newsgroup - yes for mailing list.

Best regards, Vesa

What is involved in setting up a moderated newsgroup?  Not that I'm
volunteering for the job, but if there is an available sucker\\\\\\
applicant, a moderator could filter out the crap.  Of course, your
mailbox will still pick up extra trash if you are foolish enough to
    post.

I'm still undecided as to whether a newsgroup format would be a Good
    Thing (TM).
