Post by thread:UK Elektor PLC Emulation Article using a PIC.

There was an article about using a PIC for PLC Emulation by Walter Ditch in the UK Elektor Magazine in 94/95? It uses a PIC16C54 or 55 programmed with ladder logic. This is a system of programming more suited to Electricians and Electrical Engineers than Computer programmers. The files and examples assemble with the old MPALC, and it's really simply a system of Macros in a shell. I just had an old customer send me the files which are clearly marked 'Public Domain'. He would like the thing to work under MPASM and the later micros, in particular the 84. I did a long search of the Web for the Author name/article/etc., thinking there may well be an update, but found nothing. Lots of Elektor mags in European countries, but not the article I was looking for. To save re-inventing this wheel, does any one know if there is an upgrade, failing that, it there someone interested enough with a need, that may like to have a look at it with a view to spending a couple of hours converting/upgrading/testing it?
