Hello PIClers,
I'm looking for software!!
Is anybody in the PICworld able to give me hints about how to read out the
DALLAS 1820 Temperature Sensor? It's a one-wire-chip...
the timing of howto reading out the registers seems to be very critically?

Thanks in advance!
Wolfgang

You will find a complete ASM example with UMPS project for simulation
with UMPS demo version at:    http://www.vmdesign.com

I've got AVR8515 code for it. You're right though, it's rather touchy
to get working

Content-Type: application/octet-stream;
       name="Ds1820.asm"
Content-Disposition: attachment;
       filename="Ds1820.asm"

Attachment converted: wonderland:Ds1820.asm (????/----) (00018699)

Can you try the LM75, an i2c device from National Semiconductor?  They are
much cheaper than the dallas and yet the i2c codes can be use and re-use for
other i2c chips (max of 8 devices) connected to the two PIC lines.  Also,
think of the 2x16 LCD display panel (i2c also!)

Hope this helps.
