Hey!
I have used David Taits topic programmer for a while. It works well for my
purposes. But for a few weaks ago I lend it out and now it doesent work
anymore... :-(

I have tried everything to debugg it without sucsess. When I am going to
programm a sircuit I receave the folowing message.


programming...
topic: 0000 read 3FFF, wanted 2810
topic: Verify faild during programming



Anybody idea about whats wrong...?

To me, it looks as if nothing got programmed when it was burned in or you've
got an open read line.

I built a programmer that I found on the net.  i had a cracked trace when it
came to the read operation.  Doesn't take much.  Time to break out a
meter.....

You could also check out if the programming voltage (12-14 V) is applied to the
MCLR pin during programming; I think you'll get these result if not .

This simply means that while trying to program location 0 to 0x2800
0x3FFF was read back.  There could be many reasons why this happened.
TOPIC V-0.3 comes with a debugging mode which will allow you to check
for simple wiring problems.  The documentation explains how to invoke
debugging.  If you are still using TOPIC V-0.2 you can download the
later version from here:
