I think that is not a open protocol!
I'm doing a project with a S95, but I am not sure if its the same. I did
use a S5 some years ago, and might have the manual hiding someplace. I'll
look and see if I can find any protocol data for downloading.
This might help as well, since I am using a TotalControl QuickPanel, and it
uses the programming port for interfacing
RS232C,9600baud,8 data bits, even, 1 stop bit, no handshake
also, it needs a current feedback loop in the cable (per
TotalControl specs on the interface cable)
I've emailed them to ask if they have a document describing the
protocol since they do the interfacing
Get a copy of the of CPU 943 or CPU944 plc manual. It has spec's on the
programming port. You will need a current loop converter box, either from
siemens or another company like B & B elec.
Everything is done with datawords, the 944 can handle 32 bit. The others can
only handle 32 bit with special function blocks.
