WHIMPER.

I've deleted you, spam_OUTjpalmerTakeThisOuTspamUSWEST.NET; FYI, is silly to claim you're
being "Spammed" by a mailing list, which is set up so that you HAVE to
Opt IN to join the list (i.e., you have to VERIFY via a separate post -
in response to a verification query from the list server, caused by your
first e-mail telling it you wish to join the mailing list - that you DO
indeed want to join a mailing list, and that it's not someone else
joining you.)  By definition, this is NOT SPAM.  It's called "Opt-In",
where Spam is "Opt-Out" (i.e. you get it without asking, and have to beg
to be removed - and good luck ever getting off all their lists.)  Could
it be you chose to not save the "How to unsubscribe" directions you
received, when you chose to join this mailing list?

BTW: Sending multiple messages to all 1800 or so members of this mailing
list, asking that you be unsubscribed, is usually considered quite
noxious.  ONE message will do it.  When an admin gets to it.

If you saved the "Welcome!" message, you'd have the how to unsubscribe
directions right there (Mail to <.....LISTSERVKILLspamspam@spam@MITVMA.MIT.EDU> with a body of
SIGNOFF PICLIST has been rumored to work REALLY WELL, BTW <EG>)

This is the reason for the T-shirts I advertised earlier.  Anybody
interested?  It'll make identifying you as a PICLIST MEMBER at a Microchip
or ESC meeting that much easier!

I'm taking orders now, for shipping in 6 weeks if anybody's interested.

What's the phrase? Maybe, "I got spammed by the PICLIST and all I got was
this lousy T-Shirt"? <vbg>

I didn't find any mention of a T-shirt offer from you in the immediate
archive at http://www.iversoft.com/piclist/. Is this you humor acting up
again or are you really going to make a shirt for PICLISTers?

The re-posting:

Front - "#1 - Take me off you #!#!#!# e-mail list or I'll sue"

Back - 9 more various methods to try to unsubscribe:

10 - "UNSUBSCRIBE"
9 - "UN SUBSCRIBE"
8 - "UNSCIRBE"
9 - "Can you unsubscribe me?"
8 - "Can you PLEASE unscribe me?"
7 - "Get me off this list"
6 - "I lost my instructions - how do I get off?"
5 - "STOP SPAMMING ME"
4 - "I didn't ask to be here, now sign me off"
3 - "sing off"
2 - "oops, sign off"

All these are REAL e-mail list entries received on the two main lists I
subscribe to.

I plan to make a handful of shirts for the two lists I'm on.  Anybody
interested?

Also, notice that there are two sets of 8 and 9 - these people who can't
follow directions will never catch it!!

Price isn't ready yet - I need to find out more closely how many to make,
because I need to amortize $300 "tooling" first.

Check will be fine, but don't send it yet (unless it's blank and I can
write a 1 followed by lots of zeros and not have it bounce <G>)

If you do a PICLIST shirt .. you just gotta use UNSUBSCRIBBLE PUKELIST <g>.

What about...
PICs are inferior ... and MicroChip charge to much.... thats why I
frequent the PICLIST and comment on it.

(sound like anybody we know....whose Country were thrashed at Rugby
by the All Blacks at the weekend?).

I want a "I was 'Volunteered' to help on the PicList, and all I get is
'Don't SMAP (sic) my email account with PicList messages' complaints",
T-Shirt <EG>  2XLT is good for me.

Just don't use the "Unsubscribble PukeList" to select the COLOR of the
PICList T-Shirts.  PLEASE.  How about Green with Dark Green
lettering/etc. (PCB color scheme!), as a thought?  That or Green & Gold
<G>

Well, how did you get onto the list ?

Kind regards,

       Stefan

BTW: The "PIC's" are small electronic devices made by Microchip.

I think one of these methods would work:

Someone could Credit-Card order (From Andy or through someone else who
could pass money on to Andy) from a given country/area, get the T-Shirts
for their area, local ship them on to final recipients.

International Postal Money Orders work well & don't cost too much.

Your local friendly travel agent can probably exchange money for you -
I'm pretty sure Andy will accept cash, wrapped so it's not "liberated"
in the mails would be a good idea.

We all meet at Comdex in November, trade cash for T-Shirts, & drive
Vegas nuts <G>

I'll ship stuff internationally if needed, if Andy doesn't want to.

Stefan,

I'm working on setting up a Visa/MC account.  The problem I have is that I
said "Internet" to the interviewer and suddenly the minimums went way up.
10X or so!
