Thanks David, I've already downloaded it.  The problem mainly
was the receive routine.  What I've been thinking of doing due
to the high baud rate, is using PortB(7:4) interrupt on change,
and use the RTC to generate the time to compare against the
current bit, with an RTC interrupt every midi byte length to
sync, hopefully this should allow me with a 10MHz 16C84 to do






        some additional midi signal processing in the spare time at 31K.

        Has anyone every done serial reception as these speeds with a
        16C84 using the interrupt on change method?

        Any code?
