A friend of mine purchased the Picstart Lite 16B1, and wishes he purchased
the Picstart Plus, because he now wants to program 16C73A's.  Is there any
way
he can modify his Picstart Lite (and get an update on his software) to do
this?
Tks

However...

Previously I offered the PHOENIX firmware upgrade for the 16B and this
allows it to program every pic except the 17Cxx parts.

For how this is wired, please see:

http://www.pipeline.com.au/users/newfound/adapter.htm

PHOENIX is no longer around due to a number of reasons including
the expense of the 17Cxx parts,  the difficulty most people have in
getting one programmed, my illness for a while and finally the appearance
of abuse of my copyright and some "attitudes" relating there to.

However, PHOENIX is still "current," has not needed to be upgraded for
any device and will resurface again early January as soon as I can work
out  viable distribution.

Nothing. Microchip renamed the picstart 16b to picstart lite 16B when they
release the picstart plus. Just a name change for marketing purposes.
