<DIV><FONT size=2>I am having a few problems programming pic's with a VSL
programmer (based on D Taits programmer) using pip02.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>I've tried a few different versions of the software and i am
still having trouble programming the control registers, (fuses)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;the software either crashes or does not change the
settings. I can load the .hex file into pip02 and program the
pic,&nbsp;&nbsp;but not change the fuse settings either beofre or after loading
the .hex file.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>I run the pip02, in DOS, from a batch file with these
instructions:-</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>@echo off<BR>dtait LPT1 PNP 7406<BR>pip02<BR>dtait
REMOVE</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>I presume the dtait prog. loads the programmers' drivers into
memory so the pip02 can "see" the programmer (which it does).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Any help would be much appreciated.</FONT></DIV>

You are not going to get any support for pip02 as the author has dropped
off the face of the earth, but you should be able to test your
programmer with the freeware version of p16pro linked from:
http://www.dontronics.com/p16pro.html
