Amy1 knows how to interface a memory card for the playstation
to a PIC? Inside such a memory card there's a flashrom
device and an ic which handles a serial  communication
with the playstation and the programmind of
the flash device.. they're so cheap that it would be
fine to have one connected to a pic...

I've been thinking about that for a while. If you have any details,
let me know.

go haunt a newsgroup or mailinglist having to do with the ti-8x series of
graphing calcs. at one time (a year ago or more) I found a schematic on a
www pages (having to do with those calcs) detailing how to hook a
playstation memory card up to the ti-85, thru the link port. ask around, I'm
sure someone there will help!

Cheap?  I find that quite absurd!  The whole marketing concept of
these devices is to sell the main controller for something close to
a realistic mark-up and make hideous profits from marketing trivial but
desirable attachments for ten times manufacturing costs, in addition to
the games software itself.

You *must* have a secret source of supply.  All such attachments I
have seen are in the tens of dollars range.  Chips contained can't be
worth more than $2 aggregate in bulk.

I just took my son's memory card apart.  It is a 2X memory module and the
memory chip is a 29EE020.  The pins are marked P1 through P8.  A quick
visual inspection yields the fact that P6 is not connected inside the module.
