I need to generate PWM out of servo pulse like signal. I have seen a board
to do that, but wondering how possible this could be done by software. Any
ideas ,please steer me to the right direction.

Thank you.

Take a look at

http://www.interstice.com/~sdattalo/technical/software/pic/pwm.txt

and

http://www.interstice.com/~sdattalo/technical/software/pic/pwm256.txt

for 32 level and 256 level software pwm routines. But be forwarned, these
routines are fairly complicated (but they're efficient)

You will find a working project, included sources for PIC16C84 on PWM
generated by interrupt, with UMPS:
       http://www.vmdesign.com

The program use Timer interrupt to make PWM generation, and then the main
program can do other thing. The PWM rate can be changed on the fly, without
glitch. The UMPS project will show only the ratio.

       Philippe.
