Darryl Johansen in on this list. He is about as closely
involved with the software tools as one can be.

While on the topic, I have four questions myself?
1) When can we expect to see *named* bit variables?
The information is available in the COD, so why
  not use it?
2) Why does the debugger still go out of sync with
the COD file when single stepping in C? I have
checked, and it ain't the file.
3) MPLAB has aquired quite a few instabilities when
using watch boxes. Sometimes it forgets all the
symbols, other times it just crashes when you go
through some sequence that involves saving the
  watch.
4) Can we maybe see the percentage ROM used in
  the status bar?

You will probably get quicker results by getting on the Microchip
Development Tools Webboard at : http://tech.microchip.com/~DevTools.

Hi,

I have kindly asked already Microchip for their communication protocol
driving PicStart+ . No answer until now. I said I intended to write a
DOS-based programming software (maybe also for Linux) driving PicStart+.
Now I somebody looks here from Microchip: the project is open yet. Any
help is kindly appreciated. I have eavesdropped causally the communication
between devices, but there are a lot of unclear contents.

Regards,
Imre
