Help!!

I am running MPLAB under WIN95.  I tried to create and run a pin stimulus
file.  When trying to open this  file WIN95 crashes with a general
protection fault in BC450RTL.DLL.  I  chopped my stimulus file down to
two lines:

STEP RB7
10 1

Yet, the problem remains.  If I change the word STEP to TIME, it does not
crash.  I do not have any sample pin stimulus files.

Is their supposed to be an end of file marker?
Are there any detailed app notes on the WEB?  (the MPLAB manual is very
sparse on the subject.)

Thanks for your help

Pic list,
I am a Borland C++ 4.5 user, and I have seen in passing
a patch on their web site for an error like you are describing.
Something to do with mixing 16-bit DLLs with 32 bit ones (which
might be happening when running on NT/'95). If the author(s) of
the software is listening you might peruse the Borland web site
for this patch.
On a related note, I am not a free software nut. But if
one is giving away their software (as Microchip sensibly does),
why not make the source available too? Imagine adding the creative
power of hundreds of obsessed PIC hackers to your software
development team.

FYI, I heard back from MicroChip. Here is the magic steps that cured the
problem.

1. Exit MPLAB and reboot WIN95.
2. Reinstall MPLAB.
3. Goto directory where MPLAB is installed and run BWCCFIX.EXE

After these steps, the crash no longer occurs.  I have not yet verified
that the stimulus is actually working properly.  So far no one has a clue
about what caused this error.
