Would something like a pair of SMT sockets on opposite sides of a
home-made PC board, with the right crossover traces, do this for you?
Alternately, epoxy two ribbon cable connectors to each other so they
act as a "monoblock"?
Wish more PC board houses would let me "piggyback" little tiny 1"x1"
projects in twosies to tensies for really cheap <G>
