Several of you said that MicroChip would repair or replace it.
Anybody know the address to send it to?

Wouldn't you have to contact Microchip first to let them know it's coming back to them?  I'm sure with this method, they'd tell you where to ship it to.

Cheers,
-Neil.

OK. These guys are BIG, about a block long. I guess I'll start with a
phone call.

Call customer support and arrange it with them.  The few times I've had a
Microchip tool fail, they sent me a new one overnight, then gave me a
reasonable time to return the old one.  In some cases they didn't even want
the broken unit back.  Microchip service is really first class.

In one case we had software guy accidentally blow up a ICE-2000 processor
module by connecting the 5V power input to 12V.  I told Microchip exactly
what happened and they still sent a free replacement which arrived the next
day.

Bob, you're an officially registered PIC consultant, right?  Just call
Donna, and she'll tell you exactly who to call.  There is a normal procedure
for this.  They'll take care of you.

Or, open a support ticket.  In my case, as soon as they decided I needed a
replacement, they sent it, since they had my address from the purchase.
The replacement arrived with a return label and instructions.
This was a PM 3, in this case.  Twice.  So far.

The Web Way is a good workaround for the round tuit problem.
