Hello,
I was wondering if there is a schematic for PICtail Ethernet Board,
and also a higher resolution picture, and possibly, a user manual?

buy.microchip.com shows 5 available but the description doesn't seem right.  %-)

Part Number: AC164121 - Ethernet PICtail Daughter Board
This is a replacement cable for the cable that arrives with the MPLAB ICD 2 Kit (DV164005), MPLAB ICD 2 Evaluation Kit (DV164006), the MPLAB ICD 2 ws (DV164007), the MPLAB ICD 2 w/ dsPICDEM Starter Demo Board (DV164030), and the MPLAB ICD 2 w/ dsPICDEM 1.1 GP Demo Board (DV164032).

Hi, I did not understand, are you saying that PICtail is a cable?
Or are you saying it can be obtained with mplab icd 2 kit?
I don't need the board as such, all I want is the schematic to get
an idea hoe to connect the ethernet controller to a pic16f877.
Tia.

Based on the info in the first link you sent I'm pretty sure it's a board.

And it's priced similar to the other PICDEM and PICtail  boards.

Just a hosed up a description on the buy site to muddy the waters.  :-)

I see what you means, it is confusing on the microchip direct site,
I only need the schematic, I wonder if the schematic will be in the
box

Yes. it's a board

Yes, but I do not need it, only the diagram

Yes, I initially didn't understand your message, but now I found it as well.

I'm currently creating schematics for several ENC28J60 projects I've
been working on the past few months that once finished I'll post on my
website.

That said, connecting the ENC28J60 to a microcontroller is extremely
simple, minimal connections are just 4 wires (plus ground of course).
The ENC28J60 and 16F877 datasheets should be more then enough to get
going.

The files are in with the drivers - "These schematics and board files were generated with P-CAD."

There are PDFs of the silkscreen, holes and schematic. Also gerber files.

Yes, they seem to have made a pig's ear of the buying part of the web site.

Sadly not!  I received one of these recently (after being out of stock, so this may be from the first
production run) and you get the board itself, the usual: list of contents / registration card / pink "Read
First" sheet, plus an A6 leaflet specific to this board.

The latter has a list of the jumpers' functions and defaults, the "Signal Interface" connections, and a note
that to get "Other information" and example Firmware for particular development boards you should go to
http://www.microchip.com/Ethernet/.

"Other Information" is listed as: User's Guide, Source Code, Board Description, Application Examples, Board
Schematics, and Links to Web Site Seminars.

I have been to the web site a number of times but so far I haven't been able to find most of this...  perhaps
it's early days, and they are in the process of producing this stuff?

Cheers,

It's all there, have a look inside the stack software, the link was posted.
