Hi there.. Im a college student in Canada in the Electronics Technologist program .. myself and 2 partners are building our graduation project.. (a control panel that allows programmed or manual fire of pyrotechnics)and to allow the end user (our sponsor..) to program a Cue file on his PC we're implementing an MMC interface .. Problem is i can find little info on the data structure of how the Flashpath stores data to the MMC card.. Using an PIC16F877 and plan on talking to the card via SPI .. does anyone have any tips or locations where I could find some info on this? The only Flashpath manufacturer to reply to me said "I doubt the data would be changed from its format on the computer" .. which doesnt say much :) Thanks in advance for any assistance.. You might run a search on google for some mp3 MMC projects... I just did a quicky and got this project using an atmel controller: instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/courses/ee476/FinalProjects/s2000/peterdan/ final.htm I'm sure there are others. Any particular reason for the MMC instead of something like a compact flash? <--lots of examples of those available... {Original Message removed}
