They closed one of the motorways the other day coz it was basically a pond.
Another day I was driving along and all of a sudden I was in a high
puddle, I didn't even notice it from far back. When I got out of the
puddle my car cut out; I had to dry off some stuff in the engine to get
it going again.
That's strange - we're getting a lot of rain in NZ at the moment also!
The soil in many areas has now become so waterlogged that landslips
are a major issue.
But at least it's winter here so we can expect it to some extent.
(Sorry - I couldn't find a photo - it's obviously not sensational
enough news anymore)

Can send some of the rain to North central Ohio, we got 3/8" yesterday
which was very spotty for the area. Other than that it's been 3 weeks
since we saw any rain. As the weather comes from the Northwest, it seems
that a storm following the Lake Erie South shore from Toledo to Sandusky
(Cedar Point roller coasters), then either as if the lake is a magnet,
follows the shore North of us. Or the storm breaks loose from the shore
heads on a more Southern track and misses us to the South, and we stay
dry, but 10 miles North of South of us gets the rain. But we appreciate
it in the winter, when we many times have little snow. :)

I have tried to attach in a zip but Google refused to do so - it said it is
infected by Rain.Flood virus :-)

NIMU I think. I remember it was around the time we left NZ that it aired, so
that would make it 1997.

Come on over to Arizona! :) This year had possibly been the driest that I
can remember. It's supposed to be monsoon season here, but it barely rained
