If you can generate the last range, the other ranges can be obtained
easily by dividing the frequency by 10, 100, or 1000. The step size will
also reduce proportionally. Decade counter IC's such as the 74HC393 are
suitable for dividing a frequency by 10. I think there was once a
4000-series chip that had 3 decade counters in one package, but I don't
remember the number.
