'[OT] Looking for frame grabber'

Hi All,

I'm working on a project that involves using a camera to monitor a
static site that has movable objects occasionally. I want to use a PC to
process the image from the camera.

Does anyone know if there is such a frame grabber available that
supports direct accessing of the pixel intensity using C or other
languages?

Thanks in advance.

We've used, and been very pleased with, Imagenation cards-

http://www.imagenation.com

The only other one we've considered, for cost alone, is the Hauppage type
of WinTV card, but it seems that you are on your own in finding the
software or libraries to support it- the Imagenation came with C libraries
to do most tasks (grabbing, transferring lines around memory, adding and
subtracting frames, and even some 3x3 and 5x5 filtering!)

NOTE:
Haupauge has a seperate programmers toolkit (SDK) for for their line of
frame grabber cards.
I think they want a couple of bucks for the toolkit, but you would have to
contact them directly for terms and pricing..
And yes, their frame grabber card without the tv tuner works well, and is
a real bargain. Around $50 US in small quantities.
