Are there any devices available that supply e.g. busy, and engaged tones or
info somewhere on the web.

Sorry if this seems a bit obvious.. but I cannot find a precise answer
anywhere.

What is the call progress tones for the British telephone system for BUSY
(engaged) and DIAL TONE?

I have the US codes at
http://www.piclist.com/techref/pots.htm
and I believe Telecom Digest has the UK codes at the site linked from mine.

Please let me know what you find or like to the info using the form on the
bottom of my page.

P.S. these are very useful for getting rid of telemarketers.
