Just getting back into playing with LCDs. I initially want 2.5 x 7-seg digits to display up to "199". Looking around, I may have to get a controller IC that supports larger displays, but the price is low enough for messing about with. However, do 2.5 digit controllers exist, or do I need to get at least a 3 digit one? Also, anyone have favourite display/driver combinations for simple experimentation? Thanks & regards, Matt

Your grandma's toaster can drive these display modules

If you find a suitable glass Microchip have some 16F series devices with LCD segment drive capability that should be ideal for this use. -- Scanned by iCritical.
