Hello group,
Does anyone knows if the TMP47P242 is still available? I think it's from around 1999 so it may be possyble to find it somewhere...
Thanks in advance

It turns up some brokers if you do a Google search...
I have a bunch of TMP47P443 chips I got off eBay with the idea of
"learn something about 4bit microcontrollers" before I found out
just how scarce tools for such things are (and that was before
toshiba pulled the datasheets/etc from their web sites.  Sigh.)
(They're not pin compatible, but if you want some 443s (28pin sdip),
let me know...)

It seems that some Chinese(?) stores have the uController, but they only
sell it in quantities of 1k!

Thanks, but the project I wanted to do uses this specific type

BTW
The project is a really nice Signal Generator:
http://elm-chan.org/works/wave/report.html
The site is in japanese, but it's still "understandable" by looking at the
schematics. Anyone knows some project like this??? Hopefuly one that uses
PICs...

Well you mention function generator and my first instinct is a Maxim MAX038,
but I looked at the schematic and sure enough that's what they're using. A
quick plugging of: MAX038 PIC in google only netted some 1700 results,
including several projects on the first couple pages.
