Hello All,

I have a 555 timer design that doesn't use the Control Voltage pin on
the 555,

What is the proper termination if this pin is not used, can it be left
floating or should

I tie it to Vcc or Gnd?

Regards,

Steve

Pin 4 if not used should be tied high. Pin 5 should have a 0.01uf cap to
ground on it.

Either let it float *OR* connect a small capacitor (0.01 uF) between pin 5
and Gnd.  Don't connect it directly to either Vcc or Gnd.
