( I got off the [OT] list year after 9/11 - some really disturbing posts
back then. :-( )
Looks like EmbedInc got short changed in this article: (link from
newscanner.com site)

"As he finally developed it, the Eyeball, one or several, can be programmed
from any computer. Linked by phone line to a controller, the Eyeballs can be
programmed via the Internet. The controller is manufactured for Newscanner
by a company in Israel."
I didn't follow the propellor clock thread enough to venture a guess at
this.
1. What's rotating - just the LEDs or is there a PIC on the rotating part?
2. Are slip rings sufficient at that speed to transmit data over or it power
only?
Thanks again for the link to the newscanner site!

We did not get short changed. Our job is to design something and stay in
the "back room". The customer is welcome to present this any way they want.
We just want to get paid.
However, there are some misleading statements in that article. Norm Geppert
did have the original idea, but he is not CEO and did not design it. Note
that the article took everything he said at face value. He's a sales guy,
need I say more?
I also don't know where this manufacturing in Israel came from. The article
correctly stated at the top that they are being manufactured in Belchertown
Massachusetts. I was at the factory yesterday and can assure that is
correct.
