I am trying to place on order for TFDU4100-TT3 - IR transceiver.  But the places I have tried either don't have it or the minimum order is 1000 units (!).  I need about 100 of these, any idea where to get them?  Or any idea for a alternate product?

I have searched the following: DigiKey, Avnet, Newark, Arrow, Farnell (germany, uk, belgium)

Any help is appriciated,

Can't help you out, but just to get this out there, b/c I haven't seen it
before,
but the website

http://www.findchips.com

is good for searching multiple sites.

According to it, Newark sells it in single units but has none in stock.  You
could call your local sales office and see what they have to say.

Last suggestion, have you contacted Vishay?
