The escape character when using the "Andrew" card to connect an AS/400 to a PCL printer with an IBM PC.

Variations of this method may be used for other emulation cards to edit the translation table for the printer device.

(or whatever the directory is)


Now, when the EBCDIC character is printed from the AS/400, the escape character will be sent to the printer in its place.
