SYNTAX
VERIFY [ON]
or
VERIFY [OFF]
OPTIONS
ON Turns verification on until the system
is rebooted.
OFF Turns verification off once it has been
turned on.
The VERIFY command is used to confirm that information is
written correctly each time the system writes information.
EXAMPLE
VERIFY
displays whether VERIFY is currently turned on or off.
NOTE
With VERIFY on, DOS checks information each time it writes
it to disk, which can slow writing speed slightly. You can also
use the COPY command with the /V option if you prefer to verify
on a case-by-case basis.
