DRAWING BASIC WEDGES The wedge commands, Edge Wedge ( EW ) and Fill Wedge ( WG ), use your current pen location as the center point of the wedge. You then specify the radius, the start angle, and the sweep angle to complete the wedge. The angles are measured counterclockwise, zero at the 3 o- clock position. For more information see the PCL 5 Printer Language Technical Reference Manual. Syntax for the EW command is as follows: EW[radius],[start angle],[sweep angle]; LEGEND: Ec = [Ctrl] [P] [Esc] in DOS EDIT. EcE Resets the printer. Ec%0B Enters HP-GL/2 mode. IN; Initializes HP-GL/2 mode. SP1; Selects pen number 1, (black). Even though there is no physical pen, the SP command must be used to enable printing. PA2500,3500; Specifies absolute plotting and moves to location (2500,3500). EW600,90,60; Draws the outline of a wedge, using the current pen location (2500,3500) as the center point of the wedge. The wedge has a radius of 600 plotter units, and begins at 90 degrees from the default, zero degree, reference point, and "sweeps" for 60 degrees, counterclockwise. Ec%0A Enters the PCL mode. EcE Sends a reset to end the job and eject the page. Copyright Hewlett-Packard Co. 1993 The information contained herein is subject to change without notice.
