Peter Cousens says:
I have just released a VB calculator program that I wrote It isn't finished but what it does it does well. The LED form (under the port button) is a must for any programmer driving seven seg led displays (try it and tell me it's not). It will save you hours. It has a 16 digit display with alpha/numeric or individual segment input so you can preview what the result will be, nice to see what your name, etc will look like on a seven seg display (LED OR LCD). Segments can be assigned to any port pins (0 to 7) and the program will give you the dec/hex value to write to the port and will instantly recall the value just by clicking on one of the 16 characters
The port form is also useful for calculating hex values for any desired port states for both 8 and 16 bit
It also includes among other features a resistor colour code calculator for newbee's (four /five colours) just enter the value and the colours are given, an A V O Watts calculator (enter any two and the rest are displayed and a frequency/wavelength converter
All buttons have help associated with them so it's simple to use (under dreaded windows).
